Con 15 metros de altura, está acompañado de un edificio rectangular que fue la antigua casa del farero, una vivienda blanca de mam-postería, típica de la arquitectura canaria, con acabados de pie-dra volcánica en ventanas y puertas. Un temporal dañó el viejo faro y en 1978 se levantó a escasos metros una segunda torre de color blanco y una franja roja, aún en activo. ENG This lighthouse is more than 100 years old - it was built in 1900 – and is a smaller version of the Fuencaliente tower in La Palma. Standing 15 metres high, it’s accompanied by a rectangu-lar building that used to be the lighthouse keeper’s house, built from white masonry and in the traditional Canarian architectu-ral style with volcanic stone finishes on windows and doors.
